Cookies Policy

Use of cookies by this website

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to site owners.

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of this site. We do not use Google Analytics or similar tracking tools ourselves. Some of the third‑party services we embed (such as maps, translation, search, and video players) may register their domain in your browser. In our current configuration, most do not set cookies on our site unless you actively use the service.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

  • CookieScript (CookieScriptConsent)
Records whether you have consented to our use of cookies. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” prompt in the bottom left corner of the screen.

  • Cloudflare (__cf_bm)
Helps protect our site against bots and malicious traffic. This cookie is strictly necessary and always present.

Functional (set only when you use the service)

  • Google Translate (googtrans)
Stores your translation preference (for example, English to Italian). It expires when you close your browser and is only set if you use the translation feature.

  • Videos (YouTube, Vimeo)
Embedded videos are configured in privacy‑enhanced mode (using youtube‑nocookie.com for YouTube and ?dnt=1 for Vimeo). They do not set tracking cookies until you play the video. Some functional cookies may still be set by these providers to ensure the video player works correctly.

  • OpenStreetMap and practice area maps
These services register their domain in your browser but do not set cookies on our site in their current configuration.

  • SearchIQ site search
Our in‑site search does not set cookies in its current configuration.

External links

  • Care Quality Commission (CQC) widget
This widget is a link to the CQC website. It does not set cookies on our site. Any cookies encountered after clicking the link are managed by the CQC’s own cookie policy.

Managing your cookie settings

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” prompt.

Most web browsers also allow control of cookies through their settings. To learn more, including how to see which cookies have been set, visit About Cookies or All About Cookies.

As legislation evolves, we will continue to review and update this page to ensure compliance. From 2026, UK law will exempt low‑risk functional cookies (such as video playback) from requiring consent. We will update this page to reflect those changes.
